Microsoft has launched a call feature for desktop and mobile advertisements that appear in Bing and Yahoo search results. The click-to-call feature works through Skype and offers marketers data on call length, cost and spending data. Microsoft also updated the ads to include a link to directions.

Digital marketers can take comfort in the fact that online activity spans the generations, from younger digital natives to boomers, writes Chris Horton. But according to a Forrester Research study from 2011, those aged 56 to 66 spent the most online out of all cohorts.
